The EuroFoodChem series of conferences is the flagship of the Division of Food Chemistry of EuCheMS and was initiated by our first Chairman, Professor Peter Czedik-Eysenberg. One of the most important aims of the EuroFoodChem Conferences is to provide a forum for discussion and exchange of innovative ideas between researchers from academia and industry who share a general interest in Food Chemistry in all its aspects and interfaces, including universities, research centres, industry, consumers, policy makers, and control authorities.
EuroFoodChem XX (20th) Conference was held from 17th to 19th June 2019 in Porto, Portugal, under the auspices of the Food Chemistry Division of the European Chemical Society (FCD-EuChemS) and the Portuguese Chemical Society (SPQ).
The PROLIFIC project was represented by Dr. Luciano Navarini of illycaffè.
Dr. Navarini opened the day with the Plenary Lecture entitled "New Trends in Coffee Research: in Chemical Perspective". Part of his lecture was the presentation of the PROLIFIC project, its overall idea and its objectives.
Some photos of Dr. Navarini's lecture are shown below:
